If you’ve been living with an open wound, chances are you may feel it will never heal. The Wound and Vascular Center at Des Peres Hospital can offer help and hope.

The Wound and Vascular Center is a multidisciplinary outpatient center, which brings numerous specialties together to provide coordinated care to patients with chronic, non-healing wounds. Chronic wounds are those, which have not shown significant improvement in four weeks or complete healing in eight weeks.

Recognizing that every person has unique needs, each patient treatment plan is managed by a physician and a registered nurse who is trained in wound management.

The Wound and Vascular Center at Des Peres Hospital treats individuals with chronic or non-healing wounds of many different types associated with:
• Diabetes
• Pressure
• Peripheral Vascular Disease or Ischemia
• Collagen Vascular Disease
• Trauma
• Other
