General Surgery

The five-year residency provides the type of instruction and supervision and the clinical experiences that will prepare the physician to practice comprehensive, cost-effective, compassionate and scientific surgery.

The curriculum supplements patient care experiences with conferences and educational programs which are planned to cover all subspecialty areas related to surgery.

The program is organized with the objective of a direct clinical approach in teaching residents.  The bedside and clinical approach in teaching gives the resident a comprehensive training experience in the care of surgical problems.  A strong base in laparoscopic surgery is provided.
