Zach Rucker is a 2009 Tenet Hero nominee. As one of Des Peres Hospital’s drivers, he oftentimes is the first person that customers meet when they come to the hospital, and he is customer service at its finest. Zach is a particular hit with elderly patients. He is there to listen to those who talk nonstop, and he’s there with a kind and reassuring smile for those who never say a word. He is gentle and never rushes people. Health care isn’t only about saving lives, but also about touching lives, and that’s what Zach does every day.
