(St. Louis) – Des Peres Hospital announced that it has received three United Premium® Specialty Center designations for 2007 to 2009. These designations mean that the hospital has met rigorous quality criteria based on nationally recognized medical standards and expert advice.

 
Des Peres Hospital received the following designations:

• UnitedHealth Premium® Total Joint Replacement Specialty Center
• UnitedHealth Premium® Specialty Center for Surgical Spine
• and UnitedHealth Premium® Cardiac Specialty Center for cardiac care, cardiac surgery and heart rhythm disorders.

The UnitedHealth Premium designations are based on detailed information about programmatic structure, patient care processes and clinical outcomes that are submitted by the hospital to UnitedHealthcare.
