Des Peres Hospital Welcomes J. David Zambrana, RN, as Chief Nursing Officer
(St. Louis) -- Des Peres Hospital today announced that J. David Zambrana has joined the hospital’s administrative team as chief nursing officer. In this position, he assumes responsibility for the personnel and financial management and clinical operations of all nursing units. He reports to Michele Meyer, chief executive officer.
“David brings strong organizational, interpersonal and clinical skills to his new role,” said Meyer. “We look forward to his leadership in helping us to continue to deliver the quality, personal care our patients and their families expect.
Zambrana, 36, has more than 15 years of experience in intensive and critical care, trauma, and cardiac nursing services. He joins Des Peres Hospital from Hollywood Medical Center in Hollywood, Florida, where he was the chief nursing officer. Previous positions include Director of Nursing at Cleveland Clinic Hospital in Weston, Florida and Administrative Director of Emergency Services and Nursing Administration at Delray Medical Center in Delray Beach, Florida.
He holds a nursing degree from Southern University of Seventh Day Adventist, Chattanooga, Tenn., and a bachelor’s of science in business management from the University of Phoenix, Fort Lauderdale, Fla. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in healthcare management with an expected graduation in Spring 2007. He is a licensed registered nurse.
